How do we use your personal data, and on what legal basis?

To give you access to our products and services

We use your personal data to provide you with the information, products and services you request/purchase from us (to carry out various processes, tasks and orders on our website or within our apps, to accept online payments (where applicable) and to deliver the products/perform the services ordered), but also to communicate with you about these products and services and to respond to your questions and comments;

We may also use your personal data to measure customer satisfaction and for customer service purposes (including to resolve any problems you may have with your purchases or in response to a request for services, or to answer questions posed on social networks);

From a legal point of view, the collection and processing of your personal data in connection with your orders for products and services is based on our contractual arrangements. In some cases, the legal basis will be our legitimate interests as a commercial company (e.g. measuring customer satisfaction or solving problems faced by our customers). In this case, we will ensure that these legitimate interests do not infringe on your rights.

For administrative and internal purposes

We may use your personal data for internal purposes, such as improving our website, services and products or identifying trends in website usage. We may also use your data to monitor the use of our website and to ensure that it is presented in the most effective and relevant way possible, taking into account your tastes and needs and the characteristics and configuration of your device (e.g. language and geographical location of the shop);

It is in our legitimate interest as a commercial company to use your personal data in this way. For example, we need to ensure that our website is customer friendly and functions properly, and that our products and services are of the highest quality. We also want to make it easier for you to interact with us. In this case, we ensure that these legitimate interests do not infringe on your rights.

For security and legal reasons

We use your personal data to:

ensure the accuracy of the personal and financial data you provide to us;

prevent fraud and other unlawful activity;

protect our rights or property (or those of others); and

to meet our legal and compliance obligations.

In some cases, the use of your personal data is necessary to comply with a legal obligation (for example, in response to legitimate requirements of legal authorities). In other cases (such as fraud detection), our legitimate interests as a business are the basis for processing your personal data. In this case, we ensure that these legitimate interests do not infringe on your rights.

If you have given us permission to do so when you joined (you can always change your mind), we will send you marketing messages by SMS, post and e-mail.

We use your personal data to:

enable you to create a profile on our website on the basis of which you can purchase products and services online without having to enter your details each time you place an order;

send you marketing content by SMS and email;

analyse your shopping patterns and product preferences. This may be product information that you have viewed, transaction history, or products that you have placed in your shopping cart online. This enables us to provide you with an online experience that is tailored to your tastes and needs.

It is in our legitimate interest as a commercial company to use your data in this way to improve your shopping experience. We can help you locate the products and services you are looking for so that you do not have to browse through pages and pages that are of no interest to you.

We send you marketing content via SMS and email if you have given us permission to do so when you join (you can always change your mind).

To find out more about our use of cookies, please see our Cookie Policy.

Who do we disclose your personal data to?

We do not sell your personal data to any third parties. However, in order to provide you with our services, we do disclose your personal data to our service providers and group companies as described below. When we disclose your personal data, we put in place security measures that require these organisations to keep your data secure and prohibit them from using it for their own marketing activities.

Service providers

To process orders for products and services

We work with various service providers. When you purchase products and services from us, these organisations provide services such as delivery, product assembly and installation, waste removal, and payment processing. It is in our legitimate interest as a commercial company to use these service providers, as we do not necessarily have the means to provide the services in question ourselves. In all cases, we ensure that the service provider can only use your personal data to fulfil its obligations to us.

Prevention of unlawful conduct and compliance with the law

We share your financial data, including any payment data (credit, debit or other cards) with third parties to ensure the security of your payments and to prevent fraudulent use of your data. This data sharing allows us to perform fraud analysis to ensure the accuracy and authenticity of the payment data provided to us. We may share your personal data with credit agencies if you wish to pay on credit.

In other cases, we may be required by law to disclose your personal data, for example, if required by public or judicial authorities to prevent or investigate unlawful activity or to meet legal obligations.

Other professional services

We may disclose your personal data to an insurer if we believe that our contractual relationship with them requires it.

We work with selected third parties who help us provide you with a good customer experience, for example our customer database host, marketing agencies and advertising partners. These third parties help us deliver relevant content to you on our website, on other websites and advertising channels, and through our apps. We use cookies and web beacons for these purposes. Please see our Cookie Policy.
